We went through a company called Porch (it's like Angi's list) for them to send out a person to do some gardening on my home. HE only showed up for one day and never completed the project. The company called Porch closed out our work order telling us we didn't owe them anything because the job was never finished. They in turn from what I understand didn't pay him because the job was never complete. In addition, he was fired from that company for making threats against them as well as against us. He then called us threatening to put a lien on our home if we didn't pay him $1000.00 dollars. Can he actually file a lien against me?? Moreover can he file a lien against me if I own my home and vehicles outright. I have no mortgage. With Warm Regards Erika
