If I want a friend who's a civil engineer with home construction contract work experience be my third party advisor, can my general contractor refuse to work with him or say that he does not consent to my advisor being in the meetings between the contractor and me? I told my contractor that I want him there because he has construction experience that I don't have and he is helpful to me to advise me on the progress and cost of the project. I really need him there to advise me if my contractor is being reasonable or trying to cheat me.
