I am a plastering contractor and my latest client is complaining about the integrity of our work. Hairline cracks have emerged in the typical areas of the stucco finish and now they want me to take extreme measures to fix. They are unwilling to pay for additional services. And I am unwilling to work for nothing. its been 2 weeks since we finished. if I file a lien and they wait years to pay, will it accrue interest? Thank you, Bill Flanagan
Yes, a claimant may recover pre-judgment interest on the principal lien amount in a subsequent foreclosure action.
