Can I still file a mechanics lien 7 days after the deadline?

California

Last week, I had used levelset services to file a rush mechanics lien for our company before the deadline. The scout service required confirmation of the address before finalizing but my husband did not see the email notice until today. Now its 7 days past our deadline. Are we still able to file?

It will come back unsuccessfull and will not be active. I help contractors get paid typically within 5 days. I charge nothing up front. Feel free to call my cell 214-518-9595 or email me at joshua@wolfgangandrhodes.com

It depends entirely on when the entire work of improvement was completed. As
a subcontractor, you have 30 days from recordation of a Notice of Completion
(NOC) to record a lien, or 90 days after completion of the project (not just
your scope of work, but the entire work of improvement) if no NOC is recorded.
As
a GC, if that is the case, you have 60 days from recordation of a NOC to
record a lien, or 90 days after completion of the entire project, if no NOC is
recorded. Good luck.
