Can I send one Unconditional waiver release for several jobs in one property?

California

Hello, I am trying to find out if we can send one document for unconditional release for several jobs under one property. This was a big project for multiple units and I am trying to make sure this is okay for us to do in the state of California. We have 20 jobs or 20 units that we have received payment in full. If this is possible please let me know.

As long as the unconditional release contains all of the information for each unit and amounts paid in detail, a single release should be enforceable and acceptable. With respect to establishing lien rights and maintaining those rights by adhering to applicable deadlines, you would need to submit any preliminary notice or mechanic's lien per contract. But with respect to a release, a single document could be used. However, your customer may object as the all inclusive lien will be less clear and they may desire a clean release for each job. From a legal standpoint this should suffice though.
