Can I put a different amount on a Lien than I did on a Notice of Intent to Lien for the same job?

CaliforniaMechanics LienNotice of Intent to Lien

I sent a Notice of Intent to Lien for a lesser amount than I am actually owed. I now need to file a lien, but want to list the actual amount owed (which is greater than what I listed on the NOI). Can I do that?

Yes, you can.  It is not required, but it may be a good idea to send an amended/supplemental notice of intent to lien explaining the increase. ---CN
