I have a customer (Apartment complex) who I have worked with for several years. I have filed a lien before - been paid and released the lien. I started working with them again and am now in a position of having to force collections again. Can I lien again?
You should retain a construction attorney to evaluate your situation and to provide advice. Whether or not you have mechanic's lien rights depends on what construction work you have performed, and when you performed it. If you contracted directly with the owner or the owner's agent, you could have rights to file a mechanic's lien under the Texas Constitution.
Good luck.
