Florida's licensing rules and the Department of Business and Professional Regulations (DBPR) won't specifically block someone with a felony from obtaining licensure. But, the DBPR will perform background checks, will look to whether the applicant has "good moral character," and will ultimately decide if an applicant is fit for licensure, according to their guidelines. So, while a felony won't necessarily block an applicant from obtaining a license, it will make it a lot harder.
With that being said, I'm no expert on Florida's licensing rules. And, consulting a Florida license specialist - like Lincenses, Etc. - could provide some clarity.
