You'll want to record a Notice of Completion at the County Recorder's Office in the county where the project is located.

Probably not. A Notice of Completion is supposed to be filed by the owner or the owner’s agent which is doesn’t sound like you are. If you need proof of completion for a lender or someone else, you may want to get a copy of the Job Card showing the final sign off of the project. In many places, this information is on-line and you can just print off a copy.
