I am a GC company that performed work for another company. We have final waivers showing we paid our subs, and the company will not pay us. Is there something that I am missing? I am not sure if I missed a previous form or something.
You should speak with a construction attorney. Without knowing more, including the reasons that the company is giving you for non-payment, its difficult to know.
Keep in mind that under Utah law, you can only lien a property if you complied with all requirements including filing of a timely preliminary notice. You should discuss your situation with a Utah construction law attorney.
