I work for a contractor that remodels homes. I am paid as a subcontractor not as a direct employee of his company. So I am paid weekly for hours worked on the job, the contractor does not furnish me with pay stubs nor does he take any payroll taxes from my checks. I am owed back pay for work I have done on one particular property in Scott County and I want to know if I have the right to file a mechanics lien on that property for the back pay due to me
