CAN I FILE A MECHANICS LIEN?

Hi, we are amat'l supplier. Provided mat'l for GoldenGateBridge project. Invoice date:1/23/20. preliened 1/17/20. Inv has not been paid. $25,500.82. I have missed a deadline. There has been no notice of completion or cessation filed that i am aware of. What can I do,please? Thanks, Pam

You may have time to record a lien. You may record within 30 days of recordation of a notice of completion, or 90 days of completion of the entire project. Thus, the question is: when was the entire project complete? O.K., thank you. What if there has been no Notice of Completion and the project is not complete but our invoice is way past due?

If the project is still ongoing, you are in great shape. The deadline to record a lien is tied to the completion of the entire project - it does not matter when you invoiced.
