Can I file a mechanics lien

Missouri

Hi there I'm a one man construction owner operator of a small business in a small town in Missouri the situation I have run into is kind of funny but strange I had hired to resurface a parking lot with gravel this job was a verbal handshake agreement witch I was ok with until I presented my invoice/ Bill to owner witch was somewhere around 450.00 and when I I received a check for this customer I had to laugh because there was a copy of my invoice with the check and on the copy stated that they had took $125 of the 450.00 accusing me of stealing a load of the material and what I mean by this is I had three loads originally delivered to this place that they paid for I had a fourth load brought to the same job and dumped that I paid for because I had another job within 500 ft of this one and they assumed all the rock was theirs so without even asking questions they take upon theirself to this take $125 off my bill I'd like to know what I can do about this

You can sue in small claims court for the sum you were shorted if you feel that is worth your time.
