We are a sub contractor that worked on a project for a contractor. We've completed the insulation work and they have yet to pay. We filed the preliminary lien but it appears we are past our deadline to file the actual lien. They will not respond and have not paid.
If the project is still going or only recently finished, then you might still have some lien rights. Otherwise, you're probably stuck with a breach of contract claim/lawsuit against the contractor that hired you.
