Can I file a mechanical lien?

CaliforniaMechanics Lien

Gm, I’m Alex Garcia a Los Angeles CA resident. I’m a wage laborer for a general contractor who I just meet same month. Second project he took me to work at. That’s we’re it all started. It’s been since the 11th of this month , first day on this project . I worked 11&12th February and 17&18 February. General contractor said to me. “The client wasn’t happy with my work.” And “we will have to meet up and talk face to face, and get you paid.” Its February 27th, I can’t seemed to get a response from him. I need help, (323)835-7031 alexspaintco@gmail.com

You have several remedies available to you. I would consider filing a wage claim with the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement. Here is a link to how to file a claim: https://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/HowToFileWageClaim.htm You also can bring a lawsuit, record a mechanic's lien, but this remedy has the advantage of being easy to do, and is much cheaper than a lawsuit.
