Can I file a mechanic's lien?

TexasMechanics Lien

My girlfriend and I bought a house together to flip. I took the house out of my name for legal reasons with the promise that when the house sold I would get half. She has now refused to do so. What action can I take?

When someone does not do something that you ask them to do you have the right to file suit in court to ask the court to make them do it
That may not be what you WANT to do but that's the answer to your question.
Considering that you would want to get help on trying to get what you want done without filing having to file a lawsuit, its works the same as when you do not have the expertise to repair what is not working on your car----you contact a plumber. When you have a legal problem you can't solve yourself you contact an attorney.

You got the answer to your question. It is impossible to list all the things you might be able to do on how to avoid getting involved in that. What you can do is dependent on each particular fact situation and the persons involved and their personality. Every case i s different

NO, you cannot file a “LIEN

However, you can allege a general partnership regarding the property (oral agreement to share profits and losses regarding a business) and then claim the house is “owned” by the partnership and that she is “holding” the house in trust for the partnership. There is also another theory called “PURCHASE MONEY RESULTING TRUST” which can establish equitable on your behalf.
