I bought a vehicle from my boss that he bought from a lady i have there bill of sale my boss gave me a copy plus I am the goat so my boss gave me i rebuilt ther engine and got the vehicle running 2 days before I was done she came with the cops and repoed the vehicle for none payment which was a lie but the cops took her side can i put a lein on the truck for myswork i done buy rebuilding the engine considering that the time I figured the vehicle was mine
Probably not, though you'd want to speak with an attorney to be sure. Mechanic's liens are possessory, meaning you generally need to be in possession of a the vehicle. (Because this question is posted on a construction site, I'll note that I'm useing the term "Mechanic's Lien" here in the true sense, not to be confused with a "construction lien" which is often referred to as a mechanic's lien).
