Can I file a lien on a re

I did a job for a Realestate woman who flips houses, she fired me and owes me 35k for material, subs, and labor, I did not have a signed contract, can I still file a lien, in Massachusetts??

Generally, it appears that claimants must have a written contract in order to file a mechanics lien in Massachusetts. So, without a written agreement, it seems as though lien rights won't be available. That doesn't mean some other recovery method won't be on the table, though. Claims like breach of contract or unjust enrichment could be available, among others. And, simply threatening legal claims, with a payment demand letter, could lead to payment, too.
