Can I file a lien and how much is it

I have a house my sister lives n it will b paid off soon she rents to own n 2019 my taxes were taken cause she didn’t pay property taxes can I put a lien on the house it’s n our name

Hello,

You may not put a lien on the property that you own.

Your avenue to recovery is actually a lawsuit against your sister to recover the value of the property taxes IF AND ONLY IF there is an existing contract that states she is responsible for them.

A rent to own deal means that you are still the owner of record thus still responsible for payment of the property taxes without an agreement that would make the rent-to-owner responsible for payment of the taxes.
