i was hired to pressure clean 10,000 sqft by a contractor and the home owner no longer wanted his services . since i was almost finished with the pressure cleaning the homeowner said for me to finish the job when it was time to get paid i gave him my rate of 0.25 cents sqft he gave me check for $75.00 and told me to i need to contact the contractor for payment.
You have a right to be paid for your work, but you likely do not have a claim for a lien. Liens generally require a permanent improvement to the property, and pressure washing is more of a maintenance item. Traditionally courts have not allowed liens for that work.
