I am a subcontractor, Custom sculptural lighting, working on a City of Memphis Project, the GC is Zellner construction. Damage to my work occurred on site and the GC knew about the problem, but chose not to tell me. I hired a crew of 5 and a truck to complete my installation. I had to uninstall three rods, replace one whole down rod and straighten two others, resurface, and reinstall. This delayed my installation and cost me money in time and materials. The cost was 1000.00. The GC refuses to pay it. He is trying to force me to sign a paper that says Zellner does not owe me any money for the repairs. Zellner is holding over 10,000 for work completed and the repair money until I agree to their terms.
