Can I change the amount of a prelien already submitted?

You will need to submit an amended prelien and give notice the same as with the original.

So does that mean we will be charged as if we were filing a new prelien?

I'm not an employee of Levelset, just an independent attorney that answers questions and provides legal representation when needed. I'm not sure what Levelset will charge for an amended prelien. Perhaps they will give you a discount, but there will likely be some charge since they will need to send the amended prelien by certified mail again. You should reach out to your account representative directly for that information.
