Can client fire require me to pay for additional work after they have altered what I did.

Idaho

I need some advice on my rights as a contractor, and if I have the right to receive payment, if my customer has the right to fire me just cause they don't like my prices anymore, after they signed.

Grounds for termination are typically defined within the construction agreement. However, if the agreement is silent as to the grounds for termination or if there wasn't a written agreement between the parties, one party typically cannot terminate an agreement with another party unless said party materially breached the agreement. A material breach is a breach that so substantial and fundamental that it defeats object of parties in entering into contract.
