Can a Real Estate Broker who is due a commission file a Mechanic's Lien against the client/owners property?

CaliforniaMechanics Lien

I was contracted to manage a property, which including leasing the units when they were vacancy. For the leasing, the contract clearly stated I am to be paid a commission. The owners don't want to pay the commission, which I will clearly win in court.

No, you can’t file a mechanic’s lien for a real estate commission. It must be for actual construction work that improves the property. But you can still sue them in Court for breach of contract.
