Can a prime contractor sign an assignment of payments with the owner from the contract of a residential or commercial renovation to a management service company?
Probably, but it would depend on the contractual provisions in the various contracts to which the Prime was a party. Further, assigning the payments would not alleviate the Prime's responsibility to make payments to subcontractors.
