The short answer is no, a lien cannot be amended.  That is why it is extremely important to properly name the owner of the property and all in your chain when you file.  HOWEVER, if your time for filing a lien has not yet expired, you *can* file a brand new lien (with new lien number and filing fee) and simply abandon your previous, defective lien.  Hope that helps.
