Can a mechanic's lien be filed against me?

WisconsinMechanics Lien

I hired a contractor to do a roofing repair on the North side, south side and for the flashing on my chimney in mid July 2020. As far as I know they are not a general contractor, just a roofing contractor. Had to call him each week (At least once a week sometimes up to 4x/week) to ask when his workers would show up. Finally they showed up and did the North side of the roof on August 27th. Then he didn't show up for another two weeks and I called 9/8 and he said they'd be there 9/10 or 9/11. Called again on 9/11 and he explained that he was quitting the job after not doing the south side or the chimney flashing. Our agreement had been verbal and he had quote me $2,000 for the whole job. He then sends me the bill for the North side that was finished and it is $1,493. He charged me $900 for labor. His workers were only at the job for 4.5 hours for two people. He also charged me $400 for disposal fees without a dumpster on site and they only disposed of two bundles of shingles and maybe a whole 4x8 piece of chipboard that was rotted. He also charged me for supplies of $193.36. I wrote a letter stating I would pay $750 out of all of this since he quit the job and quoted me $2k for the whole thing. I believe this is more than fair. Is this something he could file a mechanic's lien against me for? Would it even be worth it for them to pursue? I really don't like not paying, but it was terrible service, 2 months of my time was wasted actually thinking the job would be finished, and he marked up the bill quite a lot considering the amount of work that was actually done. I'm just trying to be fair.
