I was incarcerated for parole violation in March this year, My girlfriend at the time had my truck in her yard because it was broke down,but before I was incarcerated I added her daughter on as a CO owner. The agreement was that if they fixed it while I was incarcerated they could get it legalised and use it until I came home. Whereupon they would return my truck to me. Issue is when she had it moved to a friend of hers house who just happens to be a mechanic, im now being told hes filing for a loss title and putting a lien on it. Is this a legal move And also how can you do this when the title was never sent off and her daughter never was officially added onto my title it was notarized but never sent into the DMV. What may I do to recover my property?
