Can a gc put a lien on a property if they have it under contract to purchase and are on site after final invoice date

If a gc is under contract to purchase a property they were working on, after a “last Date/final Invoice Date” has been defined, and then they remain on Property as part of the purchase and sale Agreement, does the last Date Continue on, or is the last date defined it?

If a GC will be purchasing the property where work is being performed, then it might not make all that much sense for the same GC to move forward with a lien filing against the property. After all, the lien claim would hinder the ability to secure a loan or mortgage for its purchase. So, potentially, pursuing some other recovery option might make sense. Regardless - the Washington mechanics lien deadline is based on the last date when labor or materials were furnished in furtherance of the project. So, sticking around on the project site wouldn't extend lien rights unless the claimant were continuing to furnish labor or materials.
