Can a contractor forge my signature to a contract then file a lien on my home?

Georgia

A guy offered a free roof inspection. I allowed it. He said I needed a whole new roof and he would show me how to file the claim. (I had discontinued shingles). While I was filing a claim, he filled out some paper work. When he asked me to sign the papers, I refused explaining that I didn't want to sign any agreements. He said, "the beautiful thing about covid is...you don't have to sign this and my company will still let me work with you.". I chose another roofing company based on a series of quotes I received. The original roof inspector forged my signature and now says I owe him $750.00 dollars for his time. Is this a fraudulent mechanics lien? Our 2 signatures aren't even close to looking the same.
