Am I supposed to be getting prevailing wage?

New JerseyPrevailing Wages

I work for atlas flasher and supply and we do the traffic safety everyday and are contracted through pseg but our company only pays us 13$ , which is far less then prevailing wage. Pseg does leak repair and repaving while we maintain traffic safety

Not every public project will qualify for prevailing wage requirements in New Jersey. So, it'd be important to first ensure that the job does, in fact, require that prevailing wages be paid. This guide from Contractor Compliance and Monitoring, Inc. should shed a lot of light on which projects do and don't require prevailing wages: New Jersey Prevailing Wage Information | CCMI. Further, keep in mind that not all work will qualify for prevailing wages, either. So, consulting with a local prevailing wage expert - like a New Jersey construction attorney or with someone from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development - could provide more insight there, too. Unfortunately, though, I don't have personal experience in navigating the state's prevailing wage scheme.
