Am I allowed to do one person construstion/repair business in sout carolina under covid 19 guidelines

South CarolinaCoronavirus

I do deck & fence repair and building, door, flooring, & window installation, cabinet building and installation, trim work. Majority of my work is outdoors. Am I an essential business in sout carolina? All projects I do alone.

On a statewide level, South Carolina hasn't really provided a ton of guidance as to what businesses are considered essential. But, I suspect that the state will issue a stay at home order over the next few days which would shed a lot of light on what restrictions will be in place as well as what businesses are considered essential. Note, though, that many South Carolina counties and cities have already issued their own restrictions. So, it'd be wise to do a search for those locations to see if anything might restrict you from performing your work. Feel free to reply here with your county or city and I can look to see if there are local restrictions that might apply. Of course, note that a lot of governmentss have considered construction work as being "essential." This is particularly true when safe social distancing practices can be followed and where the work is being done on residences, on public works, and when the work is otherwise requied to maintain the safety and use of the building where the work is being done. So, even if a stay home order does come down, I imagine that a lot of construction, repair, and maintenance businesses will deemed essential. Obviously, with things up in the air in South Carolina, it's crucial to keep an eye out for announcements from your local and state governments. You can find some of those restrictions on Levelset's tracker, which is being updated throughout the day: Can I do Construction Work In my State? And, we'll add other counties as we come across them.
