I worked for a licensed company selling projects for them. The owner and I had an agreement for my pay which was held thru our mutual attorney. He owed me 3000.00 for salary, 50% of the net profit, roughly $48000.00, the job is complete (total project of 158,000.00) and I have not seen a dime from him. He was also having to pay his day laborers and wait for a reimbursement. I believe the hospital has paid him in full. What can I do?
If you were an employee, then you should probably contact an employment attorney to see what rights you have. If you were an independent contractor, then you probably should still contact an employment attorney, but there may be licensing issues that come into play that impact your ability to collect.
