I bought in cash an adjoining land of a construction project and gave easement to my client. if i hadnt they would not get the DES SEPTIC APPROVAL FOR build and CofO since their civil made a mistake. I’m a subcontractor for a land clearing contractor on a commercial job and completed the job on August 15, 2021. The engineer and company of the job signed off on the services provided as acceptable. The contractor refused payment and after threat of lien finally paid the remaining portion minus retainage. My contract specifies that retainage is due 30 days after the final invoice date and sign off from the engineers. That date would be September 15 which has now passed and the contractor is not responding to payment request via text or phone or email.
