I worked for a company named Tag Marshall. they build golf course hardware and software for golf courses, I installed everything for them and haven't received payment, Level set informed me that i need a lawyer to accept the docs due to my company not being a New York company. I understand that this isn't a construction job. I'm just down to the wire and 7 days have gone by during this process with me not knowing what to do and them helping me. I hope i have explained this correctly....Read More

I am a sub for some big companies. And this particular company hasn’t paid me for jobs perform. They claim that because when Job went bad they have been holding the money paid for other customers for a long time. I offered two months ago to go there and fix the job but they Heaven give me an answer for that. What should I do? The customers they paid for other jobs already paid the other contractors and they don’t pay me for the jobs. Can I tell them that I will put a mechanic lien on the clients house if they don’t pay me for the jobs performed? They have a policy of 15 days payment after the job is completed or two days after the customer pays however the customer one of the customers already paid and they don’t wanna pay me because they always come up with his excuse of this other job they already even offered my insurance to cover the expenses....Read More

We as the Contractor of Hire then provide said HVAC Vendor with an agreement to then be told in 8-10 weeks that its 6 weeks more or worse yet be told its one week more for six additional weeks all while knowing from the very beginning the allotted duration was always 16 weeks. What recourse or clause can you as the contractor of hire implement to hold the HVAC vendor accountable for their claim ...Read More

I am a subcontactor on a city project for the city of savannah, I was forced by threat of claim against my bond to finish the project. Even though the project took double the budgeted time because of delays caused by others. All were aware that delays were beyond our control, but we were required to be on site for the duration. We submitted a change order for the time extention, but the prime is arguing that change in duration is not a change in scope, and that they do not feel that they owe for the extra time we were held to be on site or for any expenses incurred for the delays. This has severely affected our able to do business since then. We are owed Approxiately $160000.00, can you help? Lien is already in place with the county....Read More
