About Jamara Shipp
My name is Jamara Edward Shipp and I am a first-generation lawyer. For years, I lived in Rural South Georgia and witnessed the workings of the legal system and how it affected those most vulnerable. I am a graduate of Turner County High School and upon graduation, I attended Georgia State University and majored in Public Policy with a concentration in Public Management and Governance. After a stint as an entrepreneur, I enrolled at Mercer University School of Law where I graduated as a member of the Order of Barristers, Mock Trial Participant and Coach, and a student member of the Bootle Inn of Court. I have worked as a law clerk in a plaintiff’s firm in Macon, Georgia, worked as a Third-Year Prosecutor in the Macon Judicial Circuit, and have been a Staff Attorney for a Superior Court Judge in Hall County. My experience is varied, but it allows me to look at all sides of a problem and figure out the best way to move forward to ensure a favorable outcome for your case.
