About Christopher Ng
Chris is the managing partner of Gibbs Giden LLP (Los Angeles, San Jose, Irvine, Westlake Village, and Las Vegas) and primarily represents construction industry material suppliers, contractors, property owners, lessees and tenants, and design professionals in connection with all aspects of private and public construction projects, including the enforcement and defense of contract, mechanics lien, stop payment notice, payment bond, and other statutory claims and remedies. Chris is also an adjunct professor of law, active speaker, and published author, and is nationally recognized in the field of construction law. In fact, in addition to his steering committee appointments within the American Bar Association (ABA) Forum on Construction Law, Chris regularly pens articles for, contributes to, and co-authors several treatises for credit, finance, legal, and other industry professionals including California Construction Law (Wolters Kluwer), Acret’s California Mechanics Lien Laws (BNi®), California Mechanics Liens and Related Construction Remedies (Continuing Education of the Bar), California Construction Contracts, Defects and Litigation (CEB), and other national publications including ENR Engineering News-Record, Business Credit Magazine, and the ABA Forum on Construction Law. For his achievements, Chris has been named a “Rising Star” and “Superlawyer” by Los Angeles Magazine and Super Lawyers® (Thomson/Reuters) regularly since 2009 (including again in 2020/2021).
