Suffolk is terrible. They are the absolute worst. They play games with all payments. They make any and all efforts not to pay. They will tell you that your check got missed in the check run. They will tell you you can pick it up 100 miles away at another office. They will tell you the owner failed to pay them. They will tell you it is in the mail when it isn't. They will tell you they are waiting on releases that they already have. They use Textura, but still, issue paper checks. They will delay all retention payments. They will direct work with no intention of processing changes or making payments. They will cut all retention payments telling you that they are advancing you money that they have not received. I have worked on three projects with Suffolk and the experience has been the same every time. Suffolk seems to embrace, train and reward this behavior of misrepresentation and dishonesty. We have been forced to lien all three projects with them.
