VCC is a professional, fast paced general contractor working all over the USA. Their processes (contracts/payment applications/waivers/submittals/etc) are all done electronically; they've made it pretty easy and efficient to do what you need to do. I have found if you use their subcontract portal like they ask and you perform the work as outlined in the subcontract, they pay promptly. They're a great company to work for.

Very large contractor, stiff insurance requirements...to be expected. Average pay cycle is net 30-45 from closing cycle around 20th of the month the work is performed...standard for AIA cycle projects. If you are a smaller contractor with tight cash flows you should pass on projects with Clark.....no less you probably won't qualify for their insurance reqs.

Payment process is far too slow and tedious, there are many hoops to jump through for approved cost impacts to be paid. Superintendents are most of the time unknowledgeable of sub contractor work, this negligence or ignorance is seen at every level on the job site, to the foremen, to the PM and the back office.
